The index of leading economic indicators for France rose 0.2% in January 2007, according to the Conference Board, while the index of coincident indicators rose 0.1%. The strength was widespread with only industrial product (coincident indicator), the ratio of the deflator of manufacturing value added to unit labor cost for manufacturing* and building permits (residential) declining.
